More and more user reports are pouring in. I especially liked this video, which gives a nice overview of what these radios can do. This one is about the Kirisun S780.

The kill function is already something nice!
I’ve tried with the PX888K and Weierwei VEV16 (both Dual Bander).
My buddy made a stupid face no longer functioned as TX ….

Very interesting radios for sure.
The digital data noise almost sounds like Icom’s IDAS or Kenwood’s Nexedge. Is it compatible with them?
I’m not sure, but I think it’s not. In the comments below the video someone mentions that Kirisun uses its own system.
no,is not compatible.
Other System and Codecs…
Greeting Walter
nah, its Made in China, that means encryption is something like ROT13 and vocoder was copied/stolen/badly reverse engineered/20 yr old recycled CELP

Chinese are strongly pushing their homegrown designs, an we all know the ‘quality’ of chinese engineering (just look at battery chargers :P)
It actually uses the dPMR standard so could be compatible with some of the IDAS stuff which can do dPMR as well as NXDN. The thing is, we don’t know the vocoder used by the Kirisun’s so it probably won’t be the expensive AMBE chip.
ive heard that kirisun are compatible with icom systems.
