This post is not about a new radio, but about an incarnation of one we already know. Be warned: this is NOT a Wouxun KG-UVD1P in disguise but a relabeled Waccom WUV-6R, which in turn was a relabeled MYT UV-98 (programming software is labeled MYT also). Still with me?

This radio wasn’t the sharpest tool in the box (excessive phase noise, poor front end). Yet it is not really cheap, just under $90 if you include shipping. You can buy two great Baofeng UV-B5 radios for that money.

Wouxun look-a-like.

Output 8 Watts? Not really.
